fwlogwatch for Debian --------------------- By default fwlogwatch won't run as a daemon. By default no cron jobs will run either. Most of fwlogwatch's behaviour in Debian systems can be configured via Debconf. Run 'dpkg-reconfigure fwlogwatch' if you want to change anything. -- Alberto Gonzalez Iniesta , Sun, 11 Nov 2001 11:25:14 +0100 fwlogwatch CGIs --------------- The examples directory contains a couple of shell scripts. These scripts can be run as CGIs from the web server to obtain HTML reports. Note that default permissions won't allow the user the web server is running under to read /var/log/messages. So you will have to add this user (usually www-data) to the adm group if you want to use them. -- Alberto Gonzalez Iniesta , Wed, 27 Jun 2001 13:13:26 +0200 systemd ------- In order for the service to start up correctly with systemd the pidfile needs to be hardcoded to /run/fwlogwatch.pid in the configuration file. -- William Grzybowski Mon, 22 Jul 2019 09:27:20 -0300
